About
One Operator. Twenty Years.
Built To Be Audited.
Birmingham Marketing Guy is a single-operator marketing practice for businesses that need their marketing to survive a CFO review. The person on the call is the person on the work.
The Practice
For twenty years I have built programs in industries that do not tolerate sloppiness. Healthcare with its compliance edges. Manufacturing with its long B2B cycles. Banking and financial services with its regulatory weight. Legal with its referral networks. Engineering with its technical buyers. Higher education with its committee-driven decisions.
Birmingham Marketing Guy is the answer to a specific gap. Most local agencies are great at logos and bad at attribution. Most national agencies are built for budgets you do not have. The middle is a single operator with twenty years of pattern recognition who does the work himself.
The Method
Every engagement opens with a working call. The point is to understand the business, the buyer, the deal cycle, what has been tried, and where the leak actually is. By the end of that call we either know the shape of the program or we know this is not the right fit, and either answer is useful.
If we move forward, you get a written 90-day plan with channels, budget shape, metrics that prove the program is working, and the criteria for what gets cut if it is not. Then the work runs as a program with monthly reporting against the metrics we agreed on.
What I Will Not Do
- Run a program where the metrics are not tied to revenue.
- Build a tactic without a thesis behind it.
- Stack five channels when the right answer is one good one.
- Hide behind a dashboard when the program is underperforming.
- Hand off the account to a junior after onboarding.
How Engagements Work
Engagements run month-to-month after the first 90 days. No long contracts. No minimums. The program either earns its budget or it does not, and that conversation happens in the open every month. Programs that work get scaled. Programs that do not get killed without a sales pitch attached.
How To Start
Schedule a thirty-minute call. There is no deck, no pitch, and no obligation. Most operators leave with a clearer picture of where the marketing is leaking even if we do not end up working together.
